The Score

The Mariners stink this year, even more than the garlic fries they serve in the stadium. At the time of writing, of thirty teams in the league they are ahead of only KC and Montreal, with a 21-34 record (yes, even worse than the Blue Jays). They rallied to win this one with 3 runs in the 9th inning and even The Archivist was cheering. Meanwhile, The Word and I sat there stone-faced. Any time they put together a couple of wins some local sports reporters speculate that maybe they'll turn things around. Don't count on it.
