Ok, we didn't get a great whale picture so this is a postcard		(seals)

Above are pictures from the boat tour we took. The Orcas were moving very quickly and "porpoising" in and out of the water. We got two really close (closer than the photos) looks at them but the Archivist didn't catch them on film. It might have helped if I had taken out my camera too, but hey, I was too busy watching. When the Orcas passed the boat the captain would pull out his flute and start playing some hippy-new-age-whale-flute music. That was the best part. When the whales passed by another boat away from us they decided to start "breaching", or jumping out of the water. Figures!

(Sunrise at Deception Pass)

Sunrise from bridge over Deception Pass. Dedicated to Kevin (maybe it was a sunset?). Moments later we were busted by the cops for being on the side of the bridge that was "closed" to pedestrians.

There were a lot of people fishing on the beach but this little
whipper-snapper was one of only two fellas we saw who caught
anything. I bet that really pissed off the crusty old fishermen.

These are pictures taken from the bridge. There was a lot of mist flowing up the Pass but otherwise it was a sunny day. Our shadows cast on the mist created an interesting effect.
